Melbourne Startup Week 2016

We are beginning to see an evolution in capitalism from a 20th century view that the purpose of business is to maximise value for shareholders to a view that the purpose of business is to maximise shared value for all stakeholders of society. Our challenge is to create a generation of conscious consumers, employees and investors who make decisions based on the impact of a business on society and the environment not just price, salary and financial return. 

Increasingly, companies are proving that doing the right thing leads to better business performance, and redefining success in business. This session will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing businesses (large and small) today and how to be part of a growing community of people who are using business as a force for good.
